Were recruiting an Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Shotton. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of asset reliability, improve plant availability and reduce unplanned downtime within a fast-paced process environment.

The role involves working closely with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to develop a more proactive, data-led approach to asset care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing risk-based preventative maintenance plans
  • Completing asset condition, criticality and obsolescence surveys
  • Maintaining an Asset Risk Register and delivering improvement plans
  • Using RCA, FMEA and RCM techniques to improve reliability and MTBF
  • Introducing and developing condition-monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography and lubrication analysis
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance shutdowns and line outages
  • Reviewing critical spares and improving inventory accuracy and availability
  • Supporting capital projects with scopes, business cases and acceptance criteria
  • Coaching operators in basic asset care and autonomous maintenance
  • Ensuring all work meets required health, safety, quality and environmental standards

What were looking for:

  • HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Practical engineering experience within manufacturing, process, production or another high-volume environment
  • Working knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA and RCM
  • Experience of preventative maintenance, CMMS scheduling and condition monitoring
  • Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to turn technical data into clear, practical maintenance actions
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
  • A safety-focused and methodical approach

The package includes a salary of £40,000-£45,000, an annual performance-related bonus, 35 days annual leave, an annual salary review, an excellent pension scheme (including a 10% employer contribution based on a 6% employee contribution), ongoing professional and technical training, free onsite parking, an employee assistance programme, and retail and lifestyle discounts.
