We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Night Worker to help ensure the safety, wellbeing and support of residents within a supported housing environment. Working overnight, you will provide a safe and welcoming service, respond to incidents, and offer practical support to vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors and the building throughout the night.
  • Carry out regular patrols, welfare checks and property inspections.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies and challenging situations, completing accurate reports.
  • Provide support, guidance and reassurance to residents when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
  • Monitor access to the building and manage enquiries, phone calls and visitors.
  • Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records using paper and computer systems.
  • Report maintenance, health & safety and safeguarding concerns appropriately.

About You

  • Experience working with the public, customers or vulnerable individuals in a service-based environment.
  • Understanding of homelessness, housing support or the challenges faced by vulnerable people.
  • Calm and confident when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Able to work independently, including lone working when required.
  • A caring, non-judgemental approach and genuine desire to help people achieve greater independence.
