The client is looking for a compassionate and motivated Employment Officer to join their fast-paced Pan London Temporary Accommodation Service, supporting individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or living in temporary accommodation. This rewarding frontline role focuses on helping people move towards independence through employment, education, training and volunteering opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- You will manage a caseload, provide tailored employability support including CV writing, interview preparation and job search guidance, while building positive relationships with employers, training providers and community organisations.
- The successful candidate will have experience working within employability, housing, welfare-to-work, recruitment or other frontline support services, alongside strong communication and organisational skills.
- You will be confident supporting individuals facing barriers such as housing insecurity, mental health challenges or social exclusion, and able to work within a target-driven environment focused on positive outcomes.
- A proactive, person-centred and strengths-based approach is essential, along with the ability to maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
