Salary - £18.00 per hour.

Shift pattern/days worked – 18.30 starts Monday - Friday.

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday basis, completing night shifts.

Night Shift Location – Shepton Mallet BA4.

The role is HGV 1 night trunking role collecting palletised goods for delivery the next day.

Responsibilities

  • Trunk run on behalf of the Pallet Ex.
  • Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
  • Supervise the loading of palletised goods.
  • Plan route making sure pallets are strapped down correctly.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • 2 years minimum experience.
  • Proven experience as a truck driver with multi drop experience of palletised goods.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

You will need to complete a 2 hour induction and assessment before starting.
