The predicted salary is between 25400 - 43300 £ per year.
We are currently looking to recruit Residential Childcare Workers to work within a range of residential settings across Teesside. Within this role you will be supporting a range of young people that may have learning difficulties, autism and/or emotional behavioural disorders and mental health issues. The younger persons you are supporting may also present different aspects of challenging behaviour and complex health needs.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience of working within residential childcare settings.
- Effective communications in relation to report writing and verbal communication with staff.
- Awareness of non-verbal communication.
- A professional and caring nature.
- The ability to engage with young people in a positive and proactive manner.
- A level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Children and Young People is desirable but not essential to the role.
Requirements of the role:
- Ensure the welfare of all young people within the service.
- Take a child centred approach and ensure that high quality care is provided at all times.
- Contribute towards the care, learning and development of young people within the service.
- Ensure that young people within service are appreciated, provided with equal opportunities and never discriminated.
- Ensure personal choice and encourage each young person to be involved in all aspects of their care.
- Liaise with parents/families of the young people within the service as well as external authorities.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure each young person is effectively supported with all of their daily living needs.
A driving license and access to your own vehicle is desirable due to the nature of the role.
