Children\’s Residential Support Worker Location: Godstone, Surrey Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (depending on experience) Full-time / Permanent Full UK Driving License (Must be able to drive) Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in their lives? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Godstone, Surrey. Key Responsibilities: * Provide emotional and practical support to young people in a residential setting. * Foster a safe, caring, and supportive environment where children can thrive. * Support with daily activities, including educational, recreational, and social activities. * Help children develop life skills, confidence, and positive relationships. * Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create individual care plans. * Ensure that the safety and well-being of each child is maintained at all times. * Record and report incidents, and contribute to progress reviews and team meetings. Shift Pattern: * 3 shifts per week: Shifts typically run between 9:30 am and 10:00 pm. * The role includes 2 sleep-ins per week (overnight shifts where you are expected to remain on-site to provide support as needed). Essential Requirements: * A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle. * Experience in a similar role (ideally in a children’s residential setting, but training can be provided). * Compassion, patience, and the ability to build strong relationships with young people. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * A proactive and flexible approach to work. * A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Desirable: * Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (or willing to work towards). * Experience supporting young people with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
