Supporting Check Point and Fortinet security environments
Working with SD-WAN infrastructure
Installing, configuring and maintaining Linux servers
Building and commissioning physical server hardware
Supporting virtualised environments
Server patching and general infrastructure maintenance
Troubleshooting network, server and infrastructure issues
Supporting infrastructure upgrades and improvement projects
Installing servers and network equipment at other sites when required
Maintaining technical documentation and following security processes
We're looking for someone who: Has solid commercial Infrastructure and Network Engineering experience
Has a strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching
Has hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network equipment
Has commercial experience working with Linux servers
Has experience with firewalls and network security
Is comfortable working with physical server hardware
Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Is comfortable taking ownership of technical issues and seeing them through to resolution
Is willing to travel to other sites occasionally when required
Holds a valid driving licence
Experience with Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, SD-WAN and Linux server hardware would be particularly useful, although we're not expecting someone to have worked with every technology.
You'll be joining a highly experienced infrastructure team with extensive knowledge across networking, servers and security.
The role is predominantly onsite in Birmingham, with a minimum of three days per week onsite. There will also be occasional travel to other locations and some out-of-hours work where required. xiskglj
