The Role
We are working with a growing UK business investing heavily in its cloud and infrastructure environment. As part of this, they are looking to bring in a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support, maintain, and evolve their platform. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of cloud operations, infrastructure support, and project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure (primarily Azure)
- Managing core services including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity (Azure AD)
- Monitoring system performance, availability, and security
- Supporting infrastructure projects including migrations and upgrades
- Working closely with internal teams and third-party providers
- Troubleshooting across cloud and on-prem environments
What They’re Looking For
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure fundamentals (networking, servers, AD)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, support-focused environment
- Exposure to Microsoft stack technologies (Windows Server, O365, Intune etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / ARM templates)
- Experience with Azure security / governance tools
- Scripting (PowerShell)
