We're recruiting a Senior Epitaxy Equipment Engineer to join a major semiconductor manufacturer that has invested heavily in brand-new equipment as part of a significant expansion programme.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining, improving and commissioning advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment within a highly specialised wafer fabrication environment.

The Opportunity This is far more than a maintenance role.

You'll become one of the senior technical specialists responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability whilst supporting the installation, optimisation and continuous improvement of advanced epitaxy manufacturing equipment.

Working closely with Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Equipment Engineering teams, you'll play an important role in supporting production and future site expansion.

Key Responsibilities Maintain, fault find and repair advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Support preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.

Lead equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support new equipment installations, commissioning and optimisation projects.

Troubleshoot vacuum systems, reactors, gas handling systems and electro-mechanical equipment.

Work closely with Process Engineering to maximise equipment performance and uptime.

Liaise with OEMs and external service providers.

Mentor junior engineers where appropriate.

We're interested in hearing from engineers with experience in areas such as: Semiconductor Equipment Engineering Wafer Fabrication Epitaxy MOCVD MOVPE CVD PECVD Diffusion RTP RTA Vacuum Systems High Vacuum Equipment Gas Handling Systems Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Reliability Equipment Commissioning Experience with equipment from manufacturers such as Aixtron, Veeco, ASM, Applied Materials, TEL, SPTS, Lam Research or similar would be advantageous.

Applications are also welcomed from experienced semiconductor equipment engineers with transferable front-end wafer fabrication experience.
