This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Principal- Attendance to join our team and contribute to the continued success of Pimlico Academy.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal for Attendance will play a pivotal strategic role in driving educational excellence, safeguarding pupils, and securing outstanding attendance outcomes across the Academy.
The post holder will lead the development of high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring that classroom practice is consistently ambitious, evidence-informed, and aligned with the Academy's knowledge-rich curriculum. They will oversee quality assurance systems, staff development, instructional coaching and professional learning, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations. The post holder will work closely with senior leaders to develop teaching practice, improve pupil outcomes, and contribute to whole-school improvement planning.
The role also includes strategic responsibility for attendance, ensuring robust systems are in place to secure excellent attendance, reduce persistent absence, and remove barriers to engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with families, pastoral leaders, external agencies and local authorities to ensure pupils attend regularly and are able to thrive both academically and personally.
