Position Overview
This 12-month interim role sits within PIMCO's European Legal team in London and is responsible for coordinating and delivering governance and Board-related requirements for PIMCO's operating entities and funds across EMEA, while supporting key internal Legal team processes. The role works closely with senior stakeholders, including Board Directors and executive leadership, and requires a highly organised, detail-focused individual who can manage competing priorities, deliver high standards of client service, and exercise sound judgement while contributing effectively within a collaborative Legal team environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating Board and Committee meetings, including setting agendas, reviewing and distributing Board packs, managing matters arising, and preparing accurate and timely meeting minutes. This includes liaison with external company secretarial service providers where relevant.
- Managing company secretarial matters to ensure books and records are accurately maintained and all regulatory filings are completed on time, including Companies House and relevant overseas registries.
- Partnering with Legal team colleagues to ensure actions arising from Board and Committee meetings are tracked and completed within agreed timelines.
- Supporting wider Legal team processes and projects, including regulatory implementation initiatives, responses to internal audit requests, and engagement with regulators as required.
Skills and Experience
- Highly organised, proactive and efficient, with strong prioritisation and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Experience supporting Board and Committee governance processes, including agenda setting, Board packs, minutes, and action tracking.
- Experience using technology solutions to support Board governance and legal workflows (e.g. Diligent).
- Experience managing company secretarial matters, including Companies House and overseas registry filings.
- Prior experience within the financial services or asset management industry.
- High standards of personal and professional integrity.
- Ideally CGI-qualified as a Chartered Secretary, progressing toward qualification, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
