JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Data and AI Architecture Leader to lead our strategic data architecture initiatives across PIMCO's enterprise. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing a robust data ecosystem that supports business-wide processes, with a focus on cloud migration, AI enablement, and digital transformation.
You will play a key role in our strategic cloud migration initiative, helping transform our enterprise data architecture to a modern, cloud-native ecosystem. The successful candidate will lead efforts to streamline our data processes, improve data quality and consistency, and enable more efficient analytical capabilities across the organization. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in building an AI-ready data foundation that allows us to leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance business decision-making across all domains.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture or systems design
- Strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management principles
- Proven experience with large-scale data migration projects and cloud transformation
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with financial risk systems and analytics platforms
- Strong technical background in database platforms (Oracle, Snowflake)
- Understanding of cloud architecture principles (AWS preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 265,000.00 – $ 305,000.00
