We’re looking for a driven and commercially minded BDR Team Manager to lead and scale our UK Business Development team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of outbound performance, discovery quality and pipeline contribution across key markets and verticals. As BDR Team Manager, you will play a central role in driving high-value pipeline creation. You will mentor and develop BDRs, optimise outreach strategies, and work closely with Sales, Marketing and RevOps to ensure alignment around target accounts, qualification standards and revenue goals. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining team management with strategic ownership of outbound performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own UK BDR channel performance, including outreach efficiency, discovery quality, lead qualification standards and pipeline conversion metrics.
- Lead and develop a team of BDRs, helping them improve prospecting capability, commercial awareness and individual target attainment.
- Coach BDRs on cold calling, email outreach, social selling, objection handling and account penetration strategies.
- Collaborate with GTM leadership to build targeted outbound plans focused on key accounts and high‑value segments.
- Refine and evolve the BDR outbound playbook, continuously improving messaging, and targeting to increase engagement rates within enterprise accounts.
- Improve outbound messaging quality, objection handling and consultative discovery techniques.
- Drive disciplined use of structured qualification methodologies (BANTARC) to ensure high‑quality discoveries are handed to Sales.
- Monitor KPIs and conversion data, identifying trends and implementing actionable improvement plans.
- Run structured 1:1s, performance reviews and team training sessions to support individual growth and team performance.
- Create a high‑performance culture built around accountability, skill development and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Marketing to align outbound messaging, target accounts, campaign focus and feedback loops from outbound performance.
- Partner with RevOps to ensure strong CRM hygiene, accurate activity tracking, up to date contact data, and clean pipeline reporting within Salesforce.
3+ years’ experience in sales or business development within B2B SaaS, including at least 1 year in a team leadership role. Proven track record of exceeding BDR targets, generating qualified discoveries and building high‑quality, conversion‑ready pipeline. Data‑driven mindset, with the ability to analyse performance metrics, identify trends and implement improvements. Strong technical fluency across core sales tools, including Salesforce and a typical sales tech stack (Sales Engage, Dialpad, Lusha, monday.com, Dealfront). Solid prospecting, qualification and outbound sales capability; experience within enterprise SaaS and consultative solution selling is highly advantageous. Coachable, positive and energetic leader who is eager to learn, guide others and drive meaningful change within a high‑performing GTM team.
