The CAIRB is a special provision that supports pupils who are autistic to access the majority of their lessons within the main school. The CAIRB also supports pupils to understand their autism and provides respite space if pupils become overwhelmed.

You will assist the whole CAIRB team in providing a fully supportive learning environment for these students.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to be innovative, dynamic, and to put fresh ideas into practice in this popular, thriving school. Our high expectations positively reinforce the highest standards of learning and behaviour at all times and encourage students to show respect for themselves, others, and the world around them.

What We’re Looking For

You must have high expectations of yourself, your colleagues, and students and be committed to creating a stimulating learning environment which challenges everyone to achieve the highest standards. You must be highly organised, with the ability to establish effective learning opportunities and support outstanding lessons, encouraging our students to be the best they can.

  • Experience supporting young people with SEND
  • Understanding of secondary‑phase curriculum expectations
  • Additional training in learning strategies or specific SEND needs
