We are seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher to join our team at Pilton Community College – a truly inclusive school committed to excellence. The ideal candidate will not only bring enthusiasm for teaching but also a strong understanding of the science behind how students learn, using evidence‑informed strategies to support every learner in reaching their full potential.

About the Role

  • Teach History across the age and ability range in accordance with the requirements of a professionally qualified teacher;
  • Adapt and deliver lessons to students according to their educational needs and with reference to prior attainment and SEND as required;
  • Set high expectations for all students;
  • Embrace the continued professional development programme within the school, striving to be a lifelong learner, maximising opportunities to make impact within the role.

You must be highly organized, with the ability to establish effective learning opportunities and deliver outstanding lessons; encouraging our students to be the best they can. If you have the ability to inspire, motivate, challenge and support students to ensure they make good progress, we would like to hear from you.

This role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure. The Harbour Schools Partnership requires all applicants to be eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions, as we are unable to offer sponsorship/work visas. You will be required to provide proof of Right to Work at the interview stage.
