Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business. Our people make all the difference in our success. Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to serve as a key leader in evolving our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) practice. This role demands a strong balance of technical depth and business acumen, enabling the successful integration of PLM with enterprise ERP and MES systems. You will act as both a hands-on technical expert and a strategic visionary, shaping architectural strategies that drive business value for global strategic accounts. Leveraging architectural frameworks like TOGAF, you will design integrated solutions, promote best practices, and serve as a trusted advisor to the company, clients, and partners at the convergence of PLM, ERP, and MES. Additionally, you will contribute to developing new sales plays, customer messaging, and delivery enablement that highlight the transformative value of modern PLM deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Leadership & Design: Lead the design, optimization, and governance of enterprise architectures for integrated PLM solutions. Ensure seamless interoperability between PLM, ERP, MES and other enterprise platforms while aligning with business goals, technical standards, and scalability requirements.
  • PLM Practice Evolution: Drive the maturation of the PLM practice by establishing reference architectures, integration patterns, best practices, and standards. Focus on digital thread enablement, data governance, and process optimization across the product lifecycle.
  • Integration & Optimization: Oversee the integration of PLM with core enterprise systems (ALM, ERP, MES, SLM, and related platforms). Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce complexity, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, traceability, and time-to-market.
  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted subject matter expert and advisor on enterprise PLM, ERP, and MES architecture and business strategies. Provide guidance to internal teams, clients, and partners on solution design, risk mitigation, and roadmap development.
  • Global Account Support: Shape architectural strategies for complex, integrated PLM deployments across global strategic accounts. Ensure alignment with customer success objectives, compliance requirements, and long-term business transformation goals.
  • TOGAF & Architecture Framework Application: Apply TOGAF (and/or similar enterprise architecture methodologies) principles to develop business, application, data, and technology architectures. Facilitate stakeholder workshops, conduct gap analyses, and produce actionable roadmaps and artifacts.
  • Go-To-Market Strategy and Enablement: Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and delivery teams to develop new sales plays, solution blueprints, and customer messaging that articulate the strategic and financial value of PLM investments and integrations.
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends in PLM, digital thread, AI-driven product development, and manufacturing technologies. Promote adoption of best practices and emerging standards internally and with clients.
  • Community of Practice & Partner Advisory: Evangelize PLM, digital thread, and industry expertise through the PLM Community of Practice and PTC’s Partner Network by sharing technical insights, customer stories, and best practice. Mentor PTC Professional Services and Partner teams on leading enterprise architecture practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing system architecture with expertise in PLM, ERP, AND/OR MES systems and business processes spanning product development, planning, manufacturing/production, and quality.
  • Deep domain expertise and proven track record in enterprise PLM (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA), ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle), and MES systems.
  • Strong understanding of EBOM/MBOM processes, change and configuration management, and PLM-ERP-MES integrations.
  • Strong technical skills (integration patterns, APIs, data modeling, hybrid and cloud architectures) combined with business acumen (process reengineering, ROI analysis, strategic planning).
  • Expert understanding of master data governance, Digital Thread, and Integrated Product Engineering principles.
  • Certified or demonstrated practical experience with TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks (such as Zachman).
  • Ability to apply architectural thinking across business, application, data, and technology domains.
  • Excellent problem solving, stakeholder management, advisory, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience influencing C-level executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project/program management capabilities; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced global environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP business processes, technical capabilities, and implementation frameworks, with emphasis on SAP solutions.
  • Experience developing and applying best practices for enterprise solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with value selling principles.
