As a Product Design Intern at PTC Inc., you will contribute to the design and development of innovative software solutions, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced technology environment. You will support the product design team in various stages of the design process, from research to prototyping, and help create user-centered experiences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and understand user needs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to define product requirements and design solutions.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
  • Contribute to design documentation, including user flows, interaction specifications, and design system components.
  • Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support the maintenance and evolution of design systems and style guides.
  • Learn and apply best practices in UX/UI design, human-computer interaction, and accessibility.

Job Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design sensibilities and an understanding of UX/UI principles (personal projects are welcome).
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of user-centered design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn and a passion for creating impactful user experiences.
