The opportunity: Join as a type‑rated Direct Entry Captain and fly mostly 2‑sector, out‑and‑back days for a stable rhythm at home. With the range of the A321XLR, you’ll also enjoy new layover destinations as our network expands. Expect industry‑leading salary and fast career progression in a dynamic, growing operation.

Minimum requirements:

  • Total time (factorized): Minimum 3,500 hours
  • Commander time in type: Minimum 500 hours actual PIC on Airbus A320 family
  • Type rating: Valid IR and A320 family Type Rating
  • Licence: ATPL held with UK CAA or EASA
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher

* Wizz Air applies factors to pilot flying hours for Command eligibility. See the factorization table at onedoor.wizzair.com. Simulator hours are excluded. ** PIC hours exclude PICUS.

Preferred profile:

  • Recent time on type: 300+ hours actual flight time on A320 family in the last 12 months
  • Recent commercial flight: Within the preceding 6 months

Note: If recency requirements are not met, additional training may apply.
