About the Role

Assistant Site Manager – PiLON (Reading, Berkshire).

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 gross per annum, car allowance included. Full‑time, permanent employment.

Lead and support kitchen and bathroom renewal projects across multiple sites in Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate all site-based operatives, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and oversee adherence to health & safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Monitor and control the quality of work performed on‑site, ensuring all projects meet company and industry standards.
  • Ensure the site remains well‑organised, clean, and adheres to environmental and waste‑management policies.
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of site activities in line with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents, ensuring their needs are met and they experience a high standard of service from PiLON.

Must‑haves & Skills

  • Experience in refurbishing projects within the social housing sector.
  • Construction Skills Certificate Card (CSCS).
  • Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certification.

  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
