Apprentice Site Manager

At PiLON, part of the United Infrastructure group, we specialise in planned maintenance and refurbishments within the social housing sector. We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious Apprentice Site Manager to support the delivery of refurbishment projects across multiple sites in London.

Location & Contract

London – Fixed term, Full‑time. Salary: Competitive apprenticeship package (to be discussed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager with the day‑to‑day running of refurbishment projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site operatives.
  • Assist monitoring health and safety compliance on site.
  • Support site inspections and quality checks to ensure works are completed to required standards.
  • Maintain site records, reports and project documentation.
  • Programme and organise site activities to meet project deadlines.
  • Develop positive relationships with residents, clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure sites remain clean, safe and well‑organised.
  • Attend apprenticeship training and complete all required coursework and assessments.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Genuine interest in construction and site management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Reliable with excellent time‑keeping.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
  • Previous experience in construction, property maintenance, customer service or a trade environment.
  • CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Knowledge of the social housing sector.
