We're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Head of Operations to join Pillar Hall, our 30,000 sq ft restaurant, bar and events venue in Kensington.

At its heart is Idalia, our all-day dining restaurant and bar, recognised by the MICHELIN Guide, shortlisted for R200 opening of the year by Restaurant Magazine, and winner of Europe’s Best In Another Space (immersive design) at the Restaurant Bar and Design Awards. But Idalia is not just about design, with a high profile female led kitchen team serving exceptional food in a beautiful room, with a vibrant atmosphere.
Guests can also at weekends enjoy outstanding soul and R&B performances from accomplished artists, including Grammy-nominated musicians who have performed at some of the world's leading music venues.
Below Idalia, Pepperbird is an intimate, speakeasy-style bar inspired by jazz and Olympia’s rock heritage of the 1960s and 70s.
And most spectacular of all is Upstairs at Pillar Hall a 500+ capacity double-height space with a stunning mezzanine. Created for large-scale private events, the space opens in Spring 2027 will also evolve in due course into a restaurant with live music at weekends.

The Role
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation, ensuring every aspect of the business runs seamlessly while delivering exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance.
