Senior Quantity Surveyor- (Consultancy)
Location: London; Built Environment projects
Salary: Circa up to £75,000 per annum plus flexi benefits package
Are you in Q1 feeling deflated and underappreciated? If so, have a look below at a job that will provide you with autonomy over projects.
Who are they:
Our client is a privately owned consultancy in the heart of London. They work on projects ranging up to £1bn on some of the country’s most forward-thinking projects. These include commercial, leisure, heritage, healthcare, sports stadiums, residential, mixed-use, and public sectors. Due to their prestigious reputation, clients tend to use them as a first point of call for some of the country’s most exciting upcoming schemes.
They encourage people who think outside the box and want to improve their careers through award-winning training schemes to stay ahead of their main competitors. Even though they are a fairly large organization, they work in much smaller teams, boosting collaboration and resulting in low staff turnover.
What are they looking for:
Currently, they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them across a range of built environment projects including hotel/mixed-use, residential, and student accommodation projects based in London. These projects will involve pre and post-contract duties of large-scale projects, and you may be trusted to manage whole sections of these, therefore you must have excellent contract experience. You will also be in charge of managing and mentoring a team, so any experience here is highly desirable. The partner on this project is looking for someone who is enthusiastic and keen to progress their career further. They need a safe pair of hands to help on the upcoming projects for the rest of this year and the new year!
The client is ideally looking for:
- Previous consultancy experience (at least around 4/5 years)
- Exceptional pre and post-contract experience
- MRICS
- Experience/desire to manage large-scale projects independently
- Experience within the built environment
- PM experience is a benefit
- Understanding of QS and different types of contracts
- Enthusiastic person who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is motivated to win business
- Ability to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the client’s expectations (or above!)
- Confident and client-facing
- Relevant university degree
- Right to work in the UK
In return: Our client is offering a basic salary of up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience, plus a benefits package which includes over 30 days of annual leave a year.
