Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Piling Design and Estimating Professional to join their team, playing a key role in driving the growth of the South Central Region. This is a diverse and dynamic position that involves supporting the design and estimating processes for piling, foundations, and ground improvement techniques, while also ensuring compliance with the company’s management system and overall business strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pile design, including expertise in bearing piles, tension piles, laterally loaded piles, and retaining walls.
Experience with both tender and contract design, as well as site redesign when necessary, is essential. A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related field is required, with an MSc and Chartered Engineer status being highly desirable.
The role offers a high level of autonomy and covers all aspects of regional piling project acquisition. This includes technical sales and design for various techniques, such as CFA, CHD, Tubular Steel, and Precast Driven piling.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in managing incoming piling enquiries, evaluating opportunities, and coordinating tenders and designs. Duties will also include estimating, tendering, client interaction, and negotiation through to project award, with ongoing project support as needed.
We are looking for a proactive and positive individual with a practical mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. This position also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to their professional development. Occasionally, the role may require dealing with site challenges, including contract redesign, resolving design issues, and liaising with external engineers or approving authorities when necessary.
