We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join a piling contractor on a project in Bristol. This is a 10-week contract with strong potential for continuation onto future schemes.
The Role
Working closely with the Site Manager and Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of the engineering and quality documentation aspects of the piling package.
Key Responsibilities
- Management and completion of all site paperwork
- Accurate recording and collation of pile records (CFA / Rotary / Driven – as applicable)
- Maintaining QA documentation and ITPs
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Liaising with the client, consultant, and main contractor
- Managing as-built records and red-line drawings
- Coordinating with site supervisors and rig teams
- Assisting with progress reporting and programme updates
- Supporting commercial team with records for valuations and variations
- Ensuring health & safety documentation is up to date
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer within piling or ground engineering
- Strong understanding of piling methods and QA processes
- Ability to manage documentation accurately and efficiently
- CSCS card
- SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous)
- Good communication and organisational skills
