Job Summary: Assist and support the farm management team to ensure the smooth operation of the Laying Farm, aiming to produce high-quality hatching eggs with high hatchability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Understand poultry management in MP.
- Contribute to the department by developing skills aligned with MP competency framework.
- Reduce environmental impact through waste reduction, recycling, etc.
- Assist on the laying farm with tasks such as egg collection, grading, sanitising, site preparation, bird handling, blood sampling, drinker cleaning, housekeeping, and bird weighing.
- Ensure adherence to bio-security procedures.
- Report issues related to stock, equipment, or health & safety concerns to farm management.
- Comply with health & safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments.
- Follow no smoking policy.
- Perform any other duties as required.
- Maintain exclusive involvement with Moy Park regarding bird species.
Working Conditions: 40 hours/week, 5/6 days from 7. £12.60/hour, overtime at 1.5x.
