Pilgrim's Europe, Linton, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager. In this role you will manage all aspects of the engineering function to ensure operations are effective and efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate planned preventative maintenance.
  • Support the team with breakdowns if required.
  • Actively seek improvement opportunities and implement them to further develop efficiency and productivity.
  • Budget and contractor management.
  • Ensure continuous development of the team.
  • Lead by example in advocacy and support of all elements of Pilgrim’s Quality and Food Safety Contract; participate in Q&FS cultural improvement programmes and support the agenda with sufficient resources.
  • Encourage staff to report quality or food safety issues, apply the STAR Award process for reporting, and provide visible feedback on actions taken.
  • Support site food safety and quality management systems through HACCP & TACCP, audit programmes, and the QUOR system; maintain audit readiness and conduct regular shop‑floor spot checks on quality and food safety standards.
  • Attend necessary OPEX tier meetings, send a deputy if absent, support the site’s OPEX plans and actions, and participate in site hot houses as required.
