What will I be doing?
- Create effective daily production plans from daily customer orders and supply accurate and timely information for production process activities such as slaughtering, butchery, packing and dispatching.
- Provide accurate information on daily requirements of packaging, raw material, equipment and transportation to meet our customer’s daily orders for all retail packed products, in-store counter products, sausage and stuffings.
- Build effective relationships with all relevant parties to ensure full adoption and implementation of all plans within the production and associated departments and encourage feedback if there are issues or areas for improvement.
- Ensure the daily/ weekly inter-site raw material requirements are met to the fullest extent in order to complete the customer’s orders
- Advise on raw material utilization to ensure we identify opportunities to use residuals, ensure appropriate levels of holding stock and minimisation of wastage or over production.
- Maintain and develop current and future planning tools including spreadsheets and databases to ensure they meet the requirements for effective planning.
- Management of movement and recording of off-site stock storage including providing accurate and prompt stock information as well as relevant reports including stock value.
- Continually maintain and develop mid & long-term forecasting in liaison with senior management, National Accounts team and NPD.
- Analyse customer and in-house service level and production information against plan to identify areas of deviation or improvement and ensure remedial action is identified and implemented fully.
