Reporting to the Bulk Pork Packing Supervisor, successful applicants will be trained to rotate across a number of areas including, the box room, freezer lines and carousel. You will also be responsible for complying with health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Ensure work is carried out to the best of the Operative's abilities to meet production deadlines
- Seek training to maintain skills and remain up to date with best practice
- Work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work
- Comply with Company policy and procedures on safe food handling and hygiene at all times
- Maintain responsibility for operational effectiveness of equipment and machinery and report faults to Management in a timely manner
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned necessary to meet business needs
- Operators will need to be flexible and use a variety of skills, understanding quality, product and safety requirements and be able to handle non routine situations which may arise
- Willingness to learn in semi-skilled roles
- Good communication
- Ability to work on own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
- Previous experience in a food production environment is desirable, although training is provided
