We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Guard to join our team in Westerleigh. The Security Guard plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and integrity of a busy abattoir site. This position is responsible for controlling site access, checking incoming vehicles, completing required paperwork, and ensuring that all security procedures are followed. The role is based at the main gatehouse with outdoor elements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access at the main gate
- Ensure only authorised individuals and vehicles enter the premises
- Perform seal checks, cleanliness inspections, and verification of ID and loads
- Record findings accurately
- Check delivery / collection paperwork
- Maintain accurate logs and security reports
- Monitor site CCTV where required
- Support biosecurity and safety rules
- Respond to alarms or unusual activity
Qualifications
- Provide excellent customer service
- Experience in security or logistics (preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Basic IT skills
- SIA License preferred
- Additional training (First Aid, Fire Marshal, CCTV) beneficial
