Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team working across a designated shift pattern, providing support across the site including our Abattoir, Butchery and Packing Departments.
Responsibilities
- Excellent fault finding and strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs.
- Accurately record all maintenance work using the computerised maintenance system – strong computer skills are a must.
- Excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors.
- Flexible and proactive approach to ensure the overall needs of the business are met.
- Direct experience of working with food processing and packaging equipment is desirable; training on specialist equipment can be provided for a suitable candidate.
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Experience with food processing and packaging equipment preferred.
