Physiotherapist needed for a fixed‑term maternity cover role at Pilgrims Hospice, Thanet, until April 2027. Part‑time, 2–3 days (15–22.5 hours) per week. Salary £38,682‑£46,580 pro‑rata.
Key Duties
- Advanced assessment and treatment of patients with life‑limiting illnesses across inpatient and outpatient units.
- Contribute to service development, supervision and education of other health professionals.
- Undertake evidence‑based projects, audits and make recommendations for practice improvement.
Responsibilities
- Therapeutic assessment and treatment for patients with complex physical, psychological and cognitive conditions.
- Develop individualised treatment programmes and participate in discharge planning.
- Work independently within a multidisciplinary team; diagnose, assess, plan and implement care programmes.
- Use recognised outcome measures, goal setting, and effective communication with patients and carers.
- Maintain accurate clinical records on Infoflex; lead or support clinical education for staff and students.
- Monitor equipment and stock; coordinate ordering and maintenance.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality assurance, audit, and research projects.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, data protection, and corporate governance.
- Assist with public health and community engagement as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 18 months experience in a Physiotherapy post.
- Professional qualification (degree or equivalent) and registration with HPC.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of risk management, clinical governance, legal responsibilities, and hospice policies.
- Valid UK right to work, driving licence, and ability to travel for work.
- Evidence of CPD portfolio is desirable.
