We are currently looking to appoint compassionate and committed Care Assistants to join our dynamic Care Team in our newly built, state of the art Middlefields House catering for 48 residents. We provide 24/7 care and support to our older and sometimes sick residents and are seeking both day and night staff to bring on board. Our Christian background is at the heart of both our values and actions to ensure that the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of all residents are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
- Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as helping a resident with a bath.
- Support residents to eat and drink.
- Get to know residents to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
- Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
- Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
- Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
- Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks when needed.
- Assist in the care at end of life.
About you:
- You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have empathy with them.
- You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients.
- You need to be well-organised, adaptable and practical.
- Experience in providing care and an understanding of dementia is essential.
Hours:
- Zero hour contract/Bank shifts are available to cover for absence, sickness, holidays and relief.
- Availability to work weekends and weekdays.
- Availability to work both days and nights.
