We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Nurse (Care) to join our team, providing high-quality nursing care while leading and supporting colleagues on shift. At Bridgemead, our 32-bed residential care home in the heart of Bath, we provide specialist dementia and respite care in a warm, welcoming, and family-like environment.

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the health, dignity, and wellbeing of every resident, combining hands-on clinical care with strong leadership and guidance for the wider care team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional, high-quality nursing care to residents
  • Assess, plan, and implement personalised, person-centred care plans
  • Monitor residents’ physical health, mental wellbeing, and cognitive changes
  • Liaise with GPs, nurses, and other external healthcare professionals
  • Lead and support care teams on shift, ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Supervise and mentor Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants
  • Conduct staff supervisions and support ongoing development
  • Ensure safe and effective medication management in line with NMC guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality at all times
  • Respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and clinical changes appropriately
  • Support inductions and training for new staff
  • Step in to provide senior cover when required

About you:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
  • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to high standards of care
  • Experience in care homes or working with older people (desirable)
  • Confident leading teams and supporting staff development
  • Skilled in care planning, risk assessments, and clinical decision-making
  • Compassionate, patient, and person-centred in your approach
  • Committed to continuous professional development

Hours: Bank hours contract (to cover absences, sickness and holidays)
