We currently have an opportunity for an energetic individual to join our Catering Team in our residential care home for older people as a General Assistant.

Responsibilities:
General Assistant
- Wash up the catering equipment and utensils;
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the kitchen and catering equipment;
- Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately after they occur;
- Maintain records as required by your manager;
- Serving the evening tea time meal (usually sandwiches or something very simple)
- Clearing tables
- Stacking dishwasher
We offer a full induction to the work and also provide other training as required by the post but it will be working alone
About you:
- You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
- You need to be able to operate laundry equipment in a safe and reliable manner
- You need to be able to work as part of a team in order to provide an excellent service to our residents; and
- You must be a well-organised, practical and adaptable person.
