The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
To assist the Department Lead in the smooth, efficient, economic daily operation of the hatchery Chick Dispatch. To maintain and improve standards of hatcheries, chick quality, hygiene, chick welfare and overall hatcheries performance. To ‘live’ welfare as a condition with the opportunity to grow and develop.

- Lead by example in promoting a harmonious working environment in line with the Company's policies in Equal Opportunities, Harassment and code of ethics.
- Organising daily work routines, paperwork and scheduling.
- Maintain and monitor the hygiene programme, ensuring the tidiness and cleanliness of the hatchery to required standards.
- Develop and maintain a sound working knowledge of all hatchery equipment.
- To ensure health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to within your areas of responsibility, maintaining a safe working environment for all people at all times.
- To ensure within your area of responsibility all aspects of animal welfare are understood and upheld fully, particularly when handling chicks.
- To ensure the necessary attention is given to all aspects of hatchery operation which may affect hatchability and chick quality.
- To report immediately to the Manager / Assistant Manager any occurrence, which could affect hatchery performance relating to product, equipment or labour.
- To contribute positively to good communications between all levels of management and operatives so that people are motivated and aware of all issues relating to their work.
Hours of work: 4 days from six on a rolling 6-week cycle (3hrs per week will be paid at o/t as early start will be required for start up checks each day).
