We’re looking for a curious, driven and commercially aware Category Executive to join our expanding Category team at Pilgrim’s Europe. This is a customer‑facing role focused on supporting the growth of innovative, trend‑driven categories. You’ll work closely with major retailers to help shape forward‑thinking category strategies, influence decisions and unlock new opportunities for long‑term, sustainable growth.
You’ll support the Category Management team in building compelling, insight‑led recommendations that drive performance for both our customers and our business, with a particular focus on identifying emerging trends and high‑growth areas. You’ll play a key role in understanding consumer and shopper behaviour, using data and insight to influence range, merchandising, pricing and promotions — truly becoming the voice of the shopper within our business while helping to shape the future of evolving categories. This role is office‑based in Uxbridge, supporting strong collaboration, development and team working.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders including buyers and merchandisers
- Use multiple data sources to analyse shopper behaviour, identify trends and uncover opportunities
- Translate data into clear, compelling insight‑led recommendations
- Support and deliver category range reviews, focusing on optimal assortment and merchandising
- Produce regular category and customer reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Influence customer decision‑making through engaging presentations and storytelling
- Work closely with Category Managers, Account Managers and Brand teams to align category strategy
- Build a strong internal and external network to support business growth

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an FMCG, retail or commercial environment
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

- Analytical mindset with good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Confident presenter, able to tell a story and influence others
- Well‑organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
