We have an exciting opportunity for a
Technical Compliance Manager to join Pilgrim's Europe at our Bromborough site.
This is a key role within the Technical team, responsible for driving audit readiness, maintaining customer and industry compliance standards, and ensuring our Quality Management Systems remain robust and effective.
Working closely with operational teams and customers, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for quality, food safety, and technical excellence while helping to shape a positive Food Safety and Quality Culture across the site.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Lead site compliance activities, ensuring ongoing readiness for BRCGS, customer, legal, and internal audits.
- Support and lead customer visits, third-party audits, and certification audits.
- Identify compliance gaps and implement improvements to ensure standards are met and maintained.
- Manage environmental and product monitoring programmes, using trend analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA management, and corrective action plans.
- Champion Food Safety and Quality Culture initiatives across the site.
- Produce and manage technical KPI reporting and trending.
- Support the maintenance and verification of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and Quality Management Systems.
- Manage customer complaints, non-conformances, and complaint reduction plans.
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager when required, overseeing quality, hygiene, food safety, and legal compliance activities.
About You
We're looking for a proactive technical professional with strong food manufacturing experience and a passion for compliance, quality, and continuous improvement.
You will have
- Experience working in a Technical Compliance, Quality, Food Safety, or Technical Management role within food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of BRCGS and GFSI-recognised Food Safety Standards.
- Experience managing audits, customer requirements, and compliance programmes.
- Knowledge of HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP principles.
- Experience conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Food Science qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- HACCP Level 4.
- Level 4 Food Safety in Manufacturing.
- Internal Auditor qualification/training.
