Reports to: Engineering Team Leader
To provide an effective and safe engineering service to the production team and respond to operational demands in a timely fashion. To maintain equipment both proactively and reactively to ensure factory performance meets targets and KPIs. To improve equipment availability and performance to meet OEE targets through identifying and implementing improvements. To proactively use the PPM System in place (SAP) for the capture of all engineering labour and booking out of parts.
Responsibilities:
- To provide effective breakdown cover to the production department, to fault find and repair machines.
- To ensure that all equipment operates efficiently producing product according to the specification.
- To work closely with the Engineering leadership team to ensure that any faults beyond the competence of the Engineer are reported and rectified promptly via third party if required.
- Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules are maintained in accordance with current requirements.
- Proactive in ensuring Health & Safety legislation is adhered to.
- Ensure working to site specific Hygiene requirements including PPE, Technical handback procedures etc.
- To help in the training and assessment of staff regarding machine operation.
