We are looking for a Stock Controller in Cratewash to join our Production team in Pilgrim's Europe at Dungannon. The Stores Stock Controller is responsible for accurate stock control within the stores department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The completion of daily cycle counts within agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring full stock traceability within the stores.
  • Ensuring the inventory management system is updated accurately to reflect stock accuracy and traceability.
  • Accurate and timely completion of filing/admin duties.
  • To work as part of a team to ensure internal and external audit standards are met as well as completion of production orders when required.
  • Flexibility to cover Supervisor's holidays and absence within the Stores department.
  • Any other reasonable duties as may be required.
  • Heavy lifting required for this role.

Health & Safety responsibilities:

  • Take reasonable care of the Health and Safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions.
  • Work in a safe manner and observe the Company Health and Safety Rules and Procedures.
  • Use the protective clothing and equipment provided.
  • Report to your Line Manager any incidents that have led to or could have led to injury or an accident or have affected the environment.
  • Report all injuries promptly that occur to yourself at work and obtain the necessary first aid treatment.
  • Cooperate with Managers and other personnel of the Company to achieve a healthy and safe workplace environment.
  • Help in the investigation of accidents in order to prevent recurrence.
  • Observe the Company personal hygiene requirements.
  • Set an example of safe, correct behaviour, particularly to new entrants and young persons.
  • Report any hazard/defect you may observe promptly to your immediate line manager.
  • Report any shortcomings in systems of work or procedures to your line manager.
  • Not to interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare of yourselves or your work colleagues.
  • To comply with safe systems of work at all times.
  • To advise managers when not trained for tasks you are being asked to carry out.
  • Any employee breaching employee health and safety responsibilities will be liable for investigation which may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Company's disciplinary policy.

Essential:

  • Must be numerate.
  • Must be able to think clearly.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English essential.
  • Must be able to work as a team member as well as capable of building and developing relationships both within the department and with other areas of the business.
  • Must have a positive attitude to work and others.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Good communication and organisational skills are essential.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and learn new skills is essential.
  • The ability to cover holidays, sickness and absence across other shifts.
  • Must be able to carry out duties that will require heavy lifting.

Desirable:

  • Experience of carrying out stock counts/cycle counts is desirable.
  • Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office is essential, Protean and ERP systems experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of factory and products desirable.
  • Previous administration experience is desirable.
  • Ability to complete and understand paperwork desirable.
  • Experience within the relevant department is desirable.
