Join Pilgrims Europe as an Assistant Farm Manager and help run one of our broiler farms. You will assist the Farm Manager with record‑keeping, stock management, environmental stewardship and farm‑assistant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate records of all matters relating to birds, food, supplies, etc.
- Ensuring adequate supply of all essential stock and placing orders when necessary.
- Actively seeking to reduce negative environmental impact through waste reduction, recycling and other practices.
- Managing, motivating and training Farm Assistants in all areas of farm operation.
- Communicating with the Farm Manager about crop performance and acting as deputy in his/her absence.
- Performing other duties as directed by the Farm Manager, always prioritising bird welfare.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a poultry farm environment
- Level 2 / 3 Poultry Passport qualification
- Willingness to undertake NVQs
- Flexibility and reliability
- Self‑motivated and proactive
- Good communication skills
- Sound decision‑making abilities
- Computer literate
Additional Information
- Shift pattern: 5 of 7 days with a sixth day as required by the business, covering 48 hours a week.
