About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Materials Planner to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that materials are available at the right time, in the right place, and in the right quantities to support our production schedules.

Full-time | Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Materials Planning & Supply
    • Plan and order materials in line with production requirements using MRP and SAP systems
    • Ensure continuity of supply to meet production schedules
    • Manage stock levels across third-party logistics (3PL) partners and central warehouse
    • Optimise material deliveries and inventory levels in line with business targets
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Technical teams
    • Build strong relationships to proactively resolve issues and improve performance
    • Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Support delivery of Profit Improvement Projects (PIPs)
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise stock
    • Apply OPEX principles to enhance supply chain performance
  • Data & Systems Management
    • Maintain accurate master data within MRP systems (lead times, MOQs, stock parameters)
    • Ensure all material orders are processed correctly in SAP
    • Analyse KPIs and use data to drive decision-making
  • Problem Solving
    • Identify and mitigate material supply risks before they impact production
    • Resolve supply issues quickly and effectively

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong understanding of material planning / MRP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management ability

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence (OPEX)
  • Experience in inventory optimisation or supply chain improvement
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline (desirable)
