Shift: Rotating shifts (days/nights) 4 on 4 off

We are currently recruiting for the following roles at Anwick: Electrical Engineer; Mechanical Engineer Part-Time; PPM Engineer; Site Services Engineer.

Role Purpose

Maintain and improve production equipment reliability and performance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, focusing on either electrical or mechanical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, motors, drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns safely and efficiently.
  • Diagnose faults within your skill domain and complete effective root cause analysis.
  • Perform safe isolations/lock-out tag-out (LOTO) and follow site safety procedures.
  • Execute equipment set-ups, changeovers, and calibrations as required.
  • Maintain accurate CMMS/maintenance records and technical documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement (CI), reliability, and asset care initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, technical, and hygiene teams to meet site KPIs.
  • Liaise with suppliers/contractors and support spares management.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer in FMCG/food manufacturing.
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills within your discipline.
  • Comfortable working with PPM systems and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of H&S standards, food safety, and GMP.

Qualifications (Typical)

  • Electrical: NVQ3/HNC or equivalent; 17th/18th Edition beneficial.
  • Mechanical: NVQ3/HNC or equivalent; pneumatic/hydraulic experience beneficial.
  • Apprentice-trained preferred.
