Are you a hands-on engineering leader who thrives on improving reliability, performance, and safety? We're looking for a Site Engineering Lead to take ownership of the maintenance and compliance agenda at our manufacturing site and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
The Role
- You'll lead the site Engineering function, ensuring equipment reliability and operational excellence through effective maintenance strategies, strong leadership, and collaborative partnerships with FM providers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the site maintenance strategy aligned to OPEX and reliability goals
- Manage planned, reactive, and emergency maintenance alongside minor capital projects
- Lead, develop, and upskill the Engineering team and oversee third-party partners
- Own maintenance budgets, contracts, KPIs, and CMMS performance
- Drive continuous improvement, asset reliability initiatives, and efficiency gains
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and statutory requirements
About You
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant degree
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven leader with experience driving change and delivering results
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management, CMMS, asset reliability, and CI tools
- Commercially aware with proven budget and contractor management experience
- Clear communicator who works well across operations and support functions
