We are recruiting for a Site Director to join our team at King's Lynn site! Reporting into the Business Unit Director, the Site Director is a driving force that acts as a catalyst for the growth and expansions of the organization through their expert management and strategic agility and planning.
What You Will Be Doing
- Safety as a Condition
- Develop and sponsor initiatives to drive performance in all operational key metrics.
- Proactively promote health & safety as the central part of the site culture and values.
- Endorse and implement the company health & safety policy, develop a Health & Safety strategy to deliver the policy and ensure the right resources are in place to deliver continuous site safety improvement.
- Leadership
- Actively participate with executive management to establish a site strategy to deliver business goals & objectives across the entire balanced scorecard.
- Lead execution of the site strategy; engage and inspire all site teams by being an ambassador for our company values & OPEX principles.
- Manage all site resources, including capital investment, to deliver the site strategy.
- People
- Provide clear direction for all site and central functions. Delegate and cascade the site strategy, vision and goals to team members to bring out the best in people.
- Create a high-performance site culture ensuring all team members are adequately trained, developed for succession and appropriately stretched using the company performance management system.
- Create a working environment that is motivating & rewarding.
- Excellent Results
- Ensure site P&L and Balance Sheet budget expectations are met as a minimum. Build strong relationships with non-site functions to ensure full alignment.
- Set, achieve and continuously improve key performance targets for: safety, quality, service, sales, cost and other measurements of site performance.
- Communicate operational results/activities to Executive Management and provide recommendations and plans for ongoing improvement.
- Standard Work
- Ensure the site complies with all legal, company, customer, safety, environmental and other requirements by building robust internal standards of operation.
- Ensure all team members are trained on relevant standards for their roles.
- Create confirmation mechanisms to check that standards expected are adhered to.
- Problem Solving
- Relentlessly pursue root cause; using knowledge, facts and data to make timely effective decisions.
- Establish partnerships with other functions to ensure smooth introduction of new products, materials, digital systems and manufacturing technologies.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement on site making our OPEX vision a reality.

- Proven experience as a Site Director or similar executive role.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in financial planning and budgeting.
- Knowledge of all business process and functions.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving ability.
