As Senior Food Safety & Quality Manager, You Will
- Lead and develop the Food Safety & Quality team, ensuring technical requirements are consistently met.
- Support and deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
- Drive compliance with customer, retailer, legal and third‑party standards.
- Ensure successful customer and third‑party audits, maintaining excellent site audit performance.
- Maintain and develop HACCP systems, food safety standards and site technical integrity.
- Oversee product quality, traceability and internal auditing programmes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site and wider business.
- Collaborate with operational teams to deliver quality improvements and technical KPIs.
- Champion a strong food safety culture while coaching and developing team members.
Essential
- Degree‑level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven quality management experience within the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with major retail customers.
- Strong understanding of BRC Standards, HACCP, Food Legislation and Food Hygiene.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑focused approach.
Desirable
- Training, coaching or project management experience.
- Experience within chilled food, high‑care or high‑risk manufacturing environments.
- Advanced HACCP qualification.
- Poultry processing or cooking knowledge.
