We are currently looking for a Slicing Operative to join our Slicing Department in Redruth and help us deliver top-quality bacon products to our customers.
Key Information:
- Earn Big: Competitive hourly rate, with the potential to earn over £550 per week
- Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent
- Balanced Schedule: We have a shift pattern of 5:30 am - 14:30 pm, Monday to Friday, giving you more time for yourself.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visually examine and pack bacon products to meet customer and company standards.
- Operate machinery and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Plan work activities and meet production targets related to cost, productivity, waste, quality, and safety.
- Monitor and control quality by checking weights, visual standards, and specifications.
- Record production data and communicate findings clearly.
- Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in work areas.
- Communicate improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Carry out cleaning and maintenance of equipment/work areas as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Good communication and teamworking skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Practical/manual handling skills.
- Awareness of Health & Safety (H&S) and Food Safety.
- Willingness to be trained and learn new skills.
- Attention to detail and quality awareness.
Qualifications Required:
- Food Safety Awareness
- H&S Awareness
- Knowledge of SOPs and general procedures
- HACCP (Level 2)
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
