Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic production and packing areas at all times
- Operate and clean washing machines, floor cleaning equipment, and high pressure water guns
- Clean specified production equipment in line with standard operating procedures
- Set up, change over, and operate machinery as required
- Empty waste bins and containers, including IBCs, and manage waste correctly
- Transport stillages, dollies, racks, and containers to and from wash areas
- Wash and clean factory floors, sinks, hand dryers, corridors, and communal areas
- Refill soap and towel dispensers across production and packing areas
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and at the correct concentrations
- Stack and wrap trays and pallets ready for collection
- Issue and collect PPE when required
- Report faults, hazards or hygiene issues promptly
- Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently
- Support continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working
Skills & Experience
- Previous factory or industrial cleaning experience (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good practical and manual handling skills
- Basic Health & Safety awareness
- Understanding of COSHH or willingness to be trained
- Flexible, reliable, and able to handle non routine tasks
- Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
