Join our Hygiene Team as a Hygiene Skilled Operator at Pilgrims Europe in Redruth. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene across production and packing areas. Your work will directly support safe, efficient operations and help ensure we meet all quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Earn Big: Competitive hourly rate, with the potential to earn over £500 per week!

Balanced Schedule: We have a shift pattern of 6.00am – 15.00pm Monday to Friday, giving you more time for yourself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic production and packing areas at all times
  • Operate and clean washing machines, floor cleaning equipment, and high pressure water guns
  • Clean specified production equipment in line with standard operating procedures
  • Set up, change over, and operate machinery as required
  • Empty waste bins and containers, including IBCs, and manage waste correctly
  • Transport stillages, dollies, racks, and containers to and from wash areas
  • Wash and clean factory floors, sinks, hand dryers, corridors, and communal areas
  • Refill soap and towel dispensers across production and packing areas
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and at the correct concentrations
  • Stack and wrap trays and pallets ready for collection
  • Issue and collect PPE when required
  • Report faults, hazards or hygiene issues promptly
  • Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous factory or industrial cleaning experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good practical and manual handling skills
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness
  • Understanding of COSHH or willingness to be trained
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to handle non-routine tasks
  • Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
