We are recruiting for:

  • Butchery Operative (day shift)
  • Hygiene Operatives (day/night shifts)
  • Skilled Butchers
  • Abattoir Operatives (day shift, 4 out of 5 days)
  • Packing Operatives (days, afternoons)

It would be desirable for candidates to have:

  • Positive thinking and self-motivation
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • An excellent attitude to work
  • A hands-on approach to solving issues
  • Previous experience as a pork butcher or meat processor in Food Manufacturing
  • Advanced knife handling skills
  • Manual handling

In your role you will:

  • Cut, bone and trim meat (Pork)
  • Accurately cut and weigh meat to meet predetermined weight and size specifications
  • Ensure product is processed according to Customer Specifications
  • Safely operate machinery including band saws
  • Comply with Company policies, Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards at all times, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
