Join to apply for the QA Technician role at Pilgrim's Europe. We are currently recruiting for a QA Technician - 12 months contract to join our Bromborough Technical Team.
Working Hours: 5 days out of 6 days - 42.5 hours per week - paid breaks.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that all products meet integrity and specification requirements.
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Ensure that one-page specs for products are on the line prior to start-up.
- Responsible for changing the threshold on metal detectors.
- Responsible for conducting fat tests for the Mince line only.
- Conduct various pre and post-production checks, including Gas, average weight, metal detector, finished product, pre-despatch, and despatch.
- Daily calibration checks of probes.
- Responsible for taking lab samples and conducting meat content analysis.
- Check labels for accuracy against specifications and products, including conducting double checks.
- Pick up sheet for powders BBQ only.
- Conduct Retail pack tare checks on catch weights.
- Conduct scale verification.
- T2 chart (check scale is running average weight).
- Complete random checks on lines to see if any old scan labels have been left.
- Machine Mind including labellers and Sealpac.
